New longplay of an electronics engineer from the banks of the Volga. The disc tells about a paradoxical phenomenon: how the living emotionally fades away, and the inanimate is reborn. The release is divided into two parts: the first is filled with dense garage, and the second - with more melodic ambient textures.
Unworldly is a project of Mikhail Belyakov, an electronics engineer from Ulyanovsk who now lives and works in Moscow. The musician began his steps towards establishing his own sound in 2014 - with the release of singles and mini-albums. During its existence, the project has changed a lot - from melody and an abundance of samples, Mikhail came to synth, an emphasis on dynamics and work with space.
The style of the album keeps pace with the times. It sounds progressive, and the foundation is future garage, bass, chillstep and wave, topical on the world electronic scene. Something remains eternal - it is soft, but in this release there is also a dynamic signature ambient.
'Callous Home' is 18 compositions and 18 stories that harmoniously interweave into a general concept dedicated to the 'soulless home'; a cinematic canvas that reflects the musician's mood at different periods of writing the album - from decline to rebirth.
