Slovakian producer Subtension is Renegade Hardware's wildcard for 2015. Thrown into the deep end on a label already renowned for selecting names that go on to become legendary in time, he's not about to let standards slip. Great to hear then, that starter track "AK47" has the ratatat percussive sounds you'd expect mixed in with rolling beats and deep, doomy bass. Moving on to "Leaving" with a darker, agoraphobic sound he plays with space and creates a cinematic stepper seriously ready to become one of the year's biggest underground D&B anthems. "Offset" brings in a bit of a shuffle to turn what could be another tense thriller into a head-nodder's dream, and it's carbon-black and grisly. Get ready for Subtension - he's going to blow your mind.
