Joe NFM has been on an epic roll this year, denting the scene with vibe after vibe after vibe both solo and with Concord Dawn. All of them hitting the spot with true classical craft, here we find him return to V with another four grooves. "MIA" rolls on a strangely timed vocal snippet that steps aside for a crucial amen at all the right times. "Wood & Water" wafts with jazzy chords and a very classic V or Full Cycle sound. "Hard Life" takes us down a much steppier, starker late 90s Total Science style approach while "Motto" does that classic groaning bass and unhurried groove thing that Joe has made his own. Precision.
