Wild west soul: Move Mode continues to develop his silky sounds on Soul Deep. Here we find him at his broadest and most extensive as he lays down four examples of his skillish dreamy touch. "By My Side" is coated with the yearning introspection of DnBethh with Lenzman-esque star-gazing feels while "Over You" thumps with a great sense of string-strung drama. Elsewhere "Royal City" provides a deeper atmospheric perspective with its humanised textures cascading softly before the pianos kick in. Finally "94 (Natty's Theme)" takes us back to one of drum & bass's most formative eras when Goodlooking ruled the musical roost. Blindsiding.
