Review: It's safe to say that Rarefied have struck absolute gold on this one as they bring in Primer for a monstrous four track selection, stuffed with both bassweight pressure and emotional energy from the jump. The title track 'Drowned' is a softly swaying nautical experience, made up of subtle percussive crushes and extending string/ horn harmonies. On 'I Had A Faraway Dream' we hear the drum punch up a level, continuing to be topped by glacial melodies, before 'Nowhere And Nothing' arrives on the scene with it's gritty, eastern vocal shimmers and constantly moving rhythmic structure. We finish up with 'Tal, Pt. II', another unpredictable journey in percussion, laced with glistening chimes and a lethal subline.
