Today’s 10-track installment includes previously unreleased recordings from the duo’s humble beginnings, circa 2008 – 2009 to be precise. Bringing it back to the basics, Zeds Dead unleash their genius with an assortment of early productions that help shaped their sound.
Tracks like “Voltage,” “Gorilla” and “Goon” are all about heavy bass and unmatched grooves, laced with that underlying signature Zeds Dead sound. The first edition of the THE LOST TAPES also goes deep, with gorgeous, chilled out productions including “Ice Crack” and “Nostalgia.”
ZD share: We’ve been in the studio a lot this year and got the chance to dig through the vaults a bit while working on new music. This Friday we’re sharing some of what we found. THE LOST TAPES is a collection of old school dubs and misplaced IDs that have never been released until now. Vol. 1 is 10 beats we made sometime during 2008-2009, with future volumes to cover other time periods.
