Bristol based, Don Piper delivers a 10 track masterpiece titled “Caviar”. Written, produced, mixed and mastered by the man himself, Caviar is Don’s exploration into halftime/bass music. Touching upon all the musical influences from his life from grunge, halftime d&b, hip-hop & dub. Don Piper leads us through a universe of doomy bass, atmospheric synths & guitars with gritty hard hitting beats. Caviar is an interesting amalgamation of deeper, emotional elements with sample heavy soundscaping taking cues from metal, rock and underground bass music.

“They say an album is a life’s work. This Album incorporates all the sounds I’ve absorbed from a young age. You can hear the Nirvana influences of my first days picking up a guitar, in many of the songs. Then my days of Skating to Doom Metal and Stoner Rock n tracks like ‘Big D Energy’ through to my Dub and Trip Hop influences in tracks like Pipeline, where I also pay homage to Foreign Beggars chops, a group who were a huge influence on my style of production in my teens. Tracks like ‘Fly’ were a representation of my ongoing love for Neo Soul, a genre I’ve loved since I found it in my early 20’s. I spent the best part of a year on this Album. It has been an insane journey and so much hard work has gone into it. It is a deeply personal and reflective trip for me and really something I wanted to show every colour of my sonic timeline.” - Don Piper

Bristol based Don Piper’s music is worldly, ethnic,deep, and dark as well as lighter Neo Soul/J Dilla inspired music. A musician in its purest form, there is nothing Don cannot do when it comes to music production. He has supported Flowdan, been pre-headliner for Nozstock festival, is part of the Subwork Label and has releases planned on many big halftime/DnB labels this year.
