Review: As soon as we saw that ENiGMA Dubz had again teamed up with the Deep Dark & Dangerous family, we knew we were in for a treat. This tidy new five track display sees the veteran producer perform at his dubstep optimum, kicking off with the gnarly synth growls and haunted percussive delays of 'Area 51'. Next, the vibrant soundscaping, stunning vocal chops and sweeping synthetic flavours of 'Into The Ground' give us something a lot more emotive before 'The Cosmos' gifts us glittering pads and power sub-pulses below. Finally we finish up with two more heaters, with 'No Sleep' giving us a trippy dive into the edge of a more wave-influenced sound, before the crunchy percussion and heavily syncopated synth melodies of 'Tunnel Vision' put the cherry on the cake.

Review: As a label, we are always pretty impressed with what the FatKidOnFire team are able to deliver, a feeling which extends to this tidy new remix drop as they unleash four new versions of previous corkers. Firstly, District unleashes a powerful display of steppers-inspired madness with his sub-heavy resketch of 'F#cking Spiders' from Dark Harmonics, before Chad Dubz lets the LFOs run wild with his dubwise overhaul of Maes' 'Jah Jah Livin' original. From here the project takes a more experimental turn as Leon Switch delivers an organic, crunched up rework of 'Dossier' from WZ, before Biome gets busy rebuilding the trippy synth flutters and powerful basslines of 'Nilaari' from Chad Dubz, putting the finishing touches on another top quality drop!

Review: It would appear that the great and good have gathered for this brand new Monsters Music incited madness as they unleash the second edition of 'Friends With Monsters', a potent compilation series showcasing some of the most exciting names in 140. The tracklisting is magnificent, featuring 20 powerful bass-driven 140 originals, with the likes of Sh?m, AD, Stinkahbell, Roklem, Sebalo & a bag more all making powerful appearances. For us, there are a couple of clear standouts, with the haunted, eastern-inspired string work and clunky percussion of Nightmare and Oni's 'Tomb', the electronic sounding LFO growls of LV's 'Eliminate' and the robotic bass chops of 'Wushu' from Blindside being the originals that rise to the top of the pile. Powerful business indeed!
