A lush, massive and cohesive sound. An atmosphere of journeying across a pulsating and transforming digital megacity. Mesmerizing melodies, ethereal vocal samples and percussion patterns that one can’t simply enjoy without doing some movement.
This new music project from a mysterious wizard of the future urban aesthetics called La Soul, who hides behind a peculiar mask, is his highly anticipated long-play release titled The Secret Album. The artist, however, decided to take a different approach, so this new album will consist of single releases successively following each other. Just like an ongoing audio story, chapters of which receive separate releases, the wonderful new La Soul’s music pieces form a complex music puzzle, while remaining distinct and remarkable on their own. The Secret Album combines a plethora of music genres, including Future Garage, Dubstep, Ambient, Deep House, 2-Step and Chillout, and each of the tracks is a perfectly balanced, living and multi-faceted soundscapes.
Stay tuned for the future updates on our IMMINENT Collective social media pages, so you won’t miss a new-released track from The Secret Album project by La Soul.

Review: When we see new releases land in the store, we like to explore the names aren't as familiar with first, which is why we instantly fell in love with this latest drop from the Vantage crew. We kick this one off with the trap-like drum rolls and bubbling 808 bass tones of 'Days End' before 'Don't Sleep' combines unusual digital signals with more bassy goodness. We dive down a smoother avenue next as 'Quelle Vie' showcases some excellent melodic sampling, before we touch down on the chilled out harmonies and lingering bass textures of 'Persan Beaumont' to wrap this one up.

Review: It's been a superb year for Crucial Recordings, who continue to push fresh and original dubstep music, almost weekly at this point. They here invite Sleeper to do what he does best across four hard hitting steppers stompers, with the creepy textures and wibbling bass tones of 'Shudda' landing first. The distorted delights and dubwise drum devices of the title track 'Militant Focus' follows in style, before the shimmering LFO's and heavily reverberated rhythms of 'Franklyn' join the party. We found off 'Fish Tea', a more subtle roller, tying this one up nicely.

Review: The Gourmet Beats team have had another fantastic year in our eyes, with some incredible EP's landing on their platform, propelling them to the top of the food chain. This latest four track extravaganza from Ternion Sound is a perfect example of the quality levels we are talking about as we kick off with the dusty vocal sampling and lethal bass chops of '5778'. Next, 'Limbo' arrives with a bag of groovy energy and smooth synthy bliss before 'Ukandu Ikandu' utilizes some extremely creative rhythmic delays for a really original creation. Finally, the warbling subs of 'Sound The Alarm' put the finishing touches on an excellent body of work.

Cat MUD054
With the team at Macabre Unit always looking to expand the label and sound into new and exciting areas of electronic dance music, this latest offering from Lampa fits perfectly into their mantra. We firstly examine the title track 'Dubious', which combines metallic synth growls with crisp, bouncy drum punches to give us a dungeon-esc vibe from the off. This is followed by potent sub pressure and minimalist drum designs of 'Black Wax', before 'Convenance' lets fly some seriously grizzly synth work, alongside a wash of eastern vocal exerts. Finally' the pace is slowed with the more stripped back melodic bliss of 'Nowhere To Be Found' providing the outro credits.
