Yesterday, Zeds Dead and Deadbeats dropped We Are Deadbeats Vol 4, a 14-track compilation album filled with collaborations from Champagne Drip, Subtronics, Slushii, Omar LinX, and more. While exciting, there’s still so much more to come from the Canadian duo in 2020. Including another album…
Zeds Dead said of the album yesterday, “We wanted to collaborate with some artists on our label as well as artists that represent the kind of music you’ll hear at a Deadbeats show. We are in the process of finishing our second album, and at the same time have been working on these tracks for our live sets. Over time all these tracks started fitting together like a mixtape or compilation of sorts, and we felt it was a natural evolution of the We Are Deadbeats series we’ve had on the label since it started. It took shape very organically and what was once meant to be a sort of precursor to our album eventually transformed into an album of its own and we’re incredibly happy with how it turned out. That second Zeds Dead album is still coming though!”
There are still a couple collaborations that we know about that weren’t on the compilation and haven’t been released, namely Rezz, 1788-L and Peekaboo. More than likely, we’ll be hearing them on this second album. And hopefully there are more solo ZD tracks on there, as well.

Russian based producer Dmitry Kuzmin, aka Nuage, is embarking on an ambitious project to release a triple vinyl album featuring a selection of his previous works taken from his label Interactive Recordings along with others from Absys Records & Translation Recordings.
What makes this an ambitious project is that it is being funded by an Indiegogo campaign which is aiming to raise €6,290 (just over £4,500).
From time to time I hear that some of my works on 170 bpm should be released on vinyl. So, now you have an opportunity to get them. I’ve chosen the best 12 tracks of mine which were published in digital only. With the support of friendly labels was compiled the new album called Cloud Maps, the first release of the crowdfunding label Vinyl Backers.
All 12 tracks on the album are absolutely stunning and I would encourage anyone that can to support this project. I know I will be.

Review: If we are talking about legendary grime producers within the UK, there are very few who rank higher than Terror Danjah, a name so cemented within the foundations of the UK underground that you would be hard pressed to find an era in which he hasn't remained extremely relevant to the culture. This latest project comes to us courtesy of Tru Thoughts, giving us a glimpse into just how important he is to grime's past present and future, from the twisted bass distortions of 'Nightmare' and hard hitting guitar stabs of 'Metal', to the more classic jumpy rhythms of 'Red Card Riddim' and instantly hard hitting arrangement of 'TBC' alongside Sir Spyro. With other highlights including the gnarly synth leads and dramatic strings of 'Last Days' and moogish warbles of 'Scene 1' alongside Nii-Teiko, this is definitely one for the long play! Review And so it goes - Seven drops an LP on us like a ton of bricks and, unlike what he has put out up to this point, he seems to delve much deeper into the rest of what the enlarged 'bass' game has to offer. 11:11 is a vast, bottomless pit of gems, ranging from the more poppy side of two-step, all the way to the sort of gear that makes your head bounce up and down...not to mention that inevitable lock-jaw! However, it's important to note that this LP is not one for cheap thrills, and that Seven has done his very best to craft as much warmth and colour out of what are usually deemed to be cold and industrial sounds of dread. Through vast landscapes of low frequencies, typically UK vocal samples, and grainy beats, this dude has his shit on control!
